World-traveling independent artist DJ Equal is stepping out from behind the turntables to release his first original production. Like much of DJ Equal's work, "Lost In The Evening" was born on the road. Conceived at 30,000 feet, the track truly came to life once back on the ground at Heavy Roc Studios in NYC. After sending the song to Folk legend Gary Jules (who sings your favorite version of Mad World), a synergetic collaboration was established between the two.

Equal, a lifelong drummer, returned to his hometown in North Carolina to hit the studio with Jules. The resulting blend of genres and generations inherent to this track make it uniquely difficult to categorize, raising the bar in the DJ-to-Producer crossover world. The sexy, feel-good, and mysterious track is being released through Heavy Roc Music on Oct 8th.
